Cards!

Some cards that I made but haven't send it to anyone :)

1. Another vintage card.

This one is my personal favourite. A vintage themed card with paper flower, a used lace, a stamped crumpled paper, a flower-shaped ribbon, some thread from a jute leftover, a tag with vintage stamp on it, on an embossed card. I just love the final result of this card <3

2. A happy friends card
Just a simple card composition with fun papers, stamped flowers, and a stamped ribbon. I like the colour of the background paper. I got it from a friend :)

3. A Thank You Card
Another simple card, but it seems I was not very neat when I put the middle panel. Well, at least it shows that I made it by myself <3

Simple crochet and granny square bag

I made these bags years ago before I came here. Both of them are very easy to make.

The first green-yellow-red bag was designed to be a small pouch. Unfortunately when I was in the 5th row, I realised that the size was too big, so I changed it into a small hand bag. I used local cotton yarn, very cheap with vibrant colour, but the yarn quality is not very good. If I wash this bag, the colour might fade away. I bought the handle in Indonesia for $2 per pair.

The second bag that I made is a granny square bag. I made 32 granny square with two design. I used acrylic yarn (which I don't really like, but unfortunately I love the colour *sigh*), a plain coloured and a three-coloured yarn.

Simple clutch

Another gift for my friend who's graduating this semester. A small clutch with a little bit formal look, (hopefully) quite appropriate for a semi-formal event.

This is a very basic envelope shape clutch. For the flap, I used the pattern from Amy Butler's book for the "Everything Wristlet". The fabric that I used are:

1. home decor fabric for the exterior
2. black cotton fabric for the flap
3. pink linen for the interior

I used fusible pellon and fusible medium weight for the interfacing. For the accessories, I bought this vintage-look charm in Indonesia.

Blue Pouch with Kanzashi Flower

This is the first time I made a squared pouch and a kanzashi flower. I miscalculated the number of the petals, so it looks a bit dense. I used the tutorial from Keyka Lou blog to make the corner of the zip looks nice. The result is still not very smooth, but practice makes perfect :)

I don't know the fabrics that I used except I use calico for the lining and the flower. I got the button from my friend.

It's that time of the year....

No, it's not about holiday or christmas. It's about graduation. This month, I have to say goodbye to lots of good friends. So, as a graduation and a goodbye gift for one of my good friend here who is going back to her country for good, I sew her a foldable tote bag.

Fabrics that I use:

Side A:

- 1 FQ Taza, Dena Design (Caroline in Blue)

- blue checkered cotton gingham

Side B:

- random plain fabric that I bought at op shop

- 1 quarter of FQ Heirloom, Joel Dewberry Design (Ornate Floral in Amber)

Others:

- Webbings for the bag handle

- light weight fusible interfacing

- cute button (I bought it back in Indonesia)

- hat elastic

The super easy skirt

In the celebration of me finishing 1 of my 3500 words essay and the success of interviewing someone for my other 3500 final project, I am going indulge my self in craft world tonight (and forgetting my 5000 words research design that will due on this wednesday).

This time, I would like to blog my ownmade skirt. Because the price of fabric in here is so damn expensive (I compared the price with online stores in the US and UK, the fabric price here is 50-100% much more expensive!), I only bought half metre of this cute moda fabric with leaves pattern.

I used all the fabric to make a skirt. I just joint the long end together, put elastic in the waist, and hem the edge. Voila! A cute mini skirt :)

What makes me happy with this skirt is my hem. People who see this skirt said how neat I sew the hem <3 I have to admit, this is the first time I've ever done the hem this neat.
